I have Vortechs and I like them a lot but I was kinda miffed I needed to spend another 75 per powerhead for wireless to be able to sync them, and then another 150 for Reeflink just to be able to set them on a schedule. I mean most people mount the drivers inches apart so why not let them talk to each other with a $10 cable like Tunze does? It's just nickel and diming. AI can put a wifi setup in a $250 light without an issue...

I guess the jury is out but it seems to me the AP700 is a better deal for coverage at this price point.

Don't worry Ray once the dust settles and the air clears they will come to there sense. And the nay sayers will come kneeling before thee saying please let us buy that new light please we beg of thee. Because there is nothing better and nothing compars to it. It is the gold standard. It is a legend Lets just hope this thing can grow millipora

tell us how you really feel :-)

I don't think they are overpriced.

We are talking about the latest and greatest here and when looking at the Xr30 Pro, its only $100 more than the G3 Pro. The extra $100 is well spent.

Its true, that not everyone has $1100 to dump on a single module. Its for this reason they offer the XR30 non pro and Xr15. You can get into an XR15 Pro G4for $559. Not bad considering all the features.

Pricing in general is up folks. The USD has 30 points on us, so it's expected that we will pay a surplus. 99% of all our products are priced at USD x 1.3, in fact, we even have some product lines priced at 1.25 because the margins are better.

Thanks,

Ray

That's what banks can get the currency for, it doesn't include the exchange fees for consumers. Currently about $1.287 to buy a US dollar.

1.20? In our dreams. Here are the last 15 times we bought USD
1.3315
1.3075
1.3075
1.314
1.3195
1.2825
1.3015
1.3045
1.306
1.312
1.3135
1.2999
1.2990
1.2910

And we get preferred rates because we buy 5 figures at a time.

We bought yesterday at 1.2894, if any tom dick or harry buys from the bank teller, you would have paid 1.3119. If you buy from a US site, your Visa will add another 4-5% on top of that.

So yeah, wayyyyyyy off 1.20 :-)

Its a thread about the light but all you guys ever care about is the stupid exchange rate lol.

The light needs to progress past wide angle and tir lense it clearly was not working to keep acropora or at least certain strains of it alive. Any early adopters willing to try it out on milllipora? Let us know

As always the rate of sales prove the popularity!

Aqua Digital Inc (ok we do supply a major share of the Canadian market) PRE SOLD to dealers 60+ units and growing (dealers rarely carry high value inventory without a likely order.)

There will always be negativity more so on a Reef Forum, heck thats what they are for?
