That's not coming back buddy sorry to say it , like I mentioned in the text they usually heal well as long as theirs no mouth damage , I'm actually surprised it went overnight the pic didn't make it seem that bad ..... is it possible something irritated it overnight (shrimps , crabs , asterinas etc)

Sucks dude :(

Sorry for your loss. Any chance we can see pics of your brain looks very nice.

GoFish 04-20-2015 04:26 AM

If I were you after removing all the dead flesh that you find a shady place in your tank to let it sit for a while (maybe 2 months) I had an LPS recover from certain death once, from 100% skeleton to full recovery in about 6 months or less. Seriously thought it was dead but there must have been something inside the skeleton in the mouth area that was still alive.
Maybe a light iodine/tank water dip before forgetting about it?

Sorry to see this happen

And what Ryan said ^^^ that brain in the background looks noiiice

Myka 04-20-2015 04:27 AM

Bummer. Sorry to say I'd take it out too.

Skimmer Juice 04-20-2015 04:57 AM

Have the coral in a breeder box of to the side away from everything . Gave it a dip keep removing dead stuff from it and I will leave it for now . As for anything irritating it the only thing would be mini brittles I have about 1 million of them they are under all my corals when I lift them up . Other than that asterina stars white and the dark ones have a Harlequin currently eating those but I always find them on my corals and remove them when I see them . The lobo only hurt maybe 1/2 inch of flesh when it first happened , it just deteriorated so fast .

^^^ that's a beauty! I hope the lobo's on lock down free and clear of that baby.
Best of luck with the seriously injured one, fingers crossed

Skimmer Juice 04-20-2015 05:08 AM

I'm actually trying to sell the lobo right now lol . Just got a new tank made it's shallow and wider 36lx14hx24 so I don't need to stack anything . Also going to move my rainbow wellso into a tank almost by itself as its getting huge and dont want anything harming that .

Ryanerickson 04-20-2015 05:09 AM

Wow thanks very nice!

jason604 04-21-2015 02:40 AM

The rainbow brain looks like it's drawn with a water color paintbrush. Just wow...
