This year is unusual because of the dry spring and hot summer and the severity of the fires one fire went from 6 hectares in size to just over 700 hectares in size in 7 hours add to the fact there is tons of debris on the ground to burn as well as all the bettle kill and you have a virtual perfect storm. I am expecting it to get much worse before it gets better.

doesn't explain down here though, had a wetter than normal June, cooler temps, didn't get nice till July and then it only took 1 week of our 40 above to dry out enough around here though.

but it is good to see that the winds and light showers today have our smoke all gone.
