I also had two early version Waveline 1200's that both controllers failed, they have replaced both with much more robust looking controllers but I have yet to use them. Jebaos I consider total junk, I went through two very quickly,my LFS replaced both one of those one was broken out of the box the other failed soon. I don't want replacements for them I'll be tossing them out. All the above pumps where replaced with Reef Diablos, which have been running non stop for 7-8 months, down side of them is I hear they are not making them anymore?
I have at least one traditional pump, Red Dragon running crucial flow to my tank(closed loop), I have a Diablo running sump return. I don't trust DC pumps. I'll still be experimenting with them however. |

From some of my limited reading is it sounds like Waveline sold the design/patent for the Gen 1 to Jabao when they were ready to come out with Waveline Gen 2. I have not come across that a Gen 3 was in the works though.

Torx says they are. |
Thanks for the heads up Ronau. That's an interesting development, although that looks like it might be 'aftermarket' :). Not that it is rocket science or anything.

Yes but not Apex 'supported'… not that it matters I guess.

Apex Controller
This is the response I received last week from RLSS (yes I know they have been promising this for over a year now)
"Thanks for your interests in our products. We hope to give Neptune the 3rd prototype for the "Apex-ready" controller next month so that they can verify the one a.s.a.p.. The controller was behind our schedule we will need to support 0-10V analog controller and RS232 as well. And the main broad is upgrading too. Should you have any question, please let us know, thanks. Best regards" Eddie Ye ________________________________________ H2O SYSTEMS INC. www.rlss.ca |
I bought a Speedwave DC pump when they were the only way to go, I don't think anyone sells them locally anymore. Fingers crossed it's working perfectly so far, had it for about a year and a half. Anyone else running one?
