Tunze 6105 with my mesh top. 3 years in the running :-)

There's probably about a half inch gap there. Hasn't been a problem so far. *knock on wood*. It probably does help that my mesh top extends well over my euro brace.

I'm a Tunze guy, but the quality of the two are so close it really comes down to personal preference. One plus I have always found with the MP40 is the wide flow. I'm running the wide flow kit on my 6105's and they're very close to the flow of the MP40.

it's easier to make it without the wires coming out from the tank.

Yup, yours looks a lot better than mine. Yours is definitely nice and clean. Mine looks ghetto in comparison

Although, if I wasn't so lazy I would probably have cut the mesh top around the wires so that there were slots for them in the mesh top. This would allow the mesh top to sit flush onto the eurobrace.

that will work. you can probably file it down a notch to feed the wire through.
