And the gear is irrelevant. Any cheap slr can take good photos if you know how to use it

It's always photographers that say this, but it's always photographers that have the really expensive gear that the rest of us can't afford :) Hmmmm

Not at all. You could give me a golden magic camera, my pics will still be crap :) But if you guys only need a cheap SLR, why the top of the line stuff? :)

I agree with you, but it's just odd that the guys saying you don't need expensive gear all have expensive gear.

Oh well I need it for the things that I shoot professionally. Clients demand the best quality.

But a person wouldn't need it for taking pictures of their fish to post online.

No don't "need it" but I wouldn't trade my 5D Mark II for a point and shoot!

I think the most important is using custom white balance and a Expodisk.

What settings did you use ? Apature shutter, speed, iso?

I disagree. When shooting raw it doesn't matter what the white balance is.

I have no idea what the settings were, but it would be different for every situation
