Interesting, I'm about to tackle some rock structure building as well.

Never occurred to me to try using foam.
I suppose it's easier than going about mixing cement.

Wonder how strong of a bond it has with the rock. What kind of weight it can hold up? Think arches and overhangs.

It holds like a champ haha foam goes thru the hole of the rock and that what makes the bond really strong, and i used crochet hook to clean the excess. I might put some glue and add some sand to hide the black stuff

I used the e Marco cement from j&l. A little pricy but it goes a long way. It works really well. Maybe that will work for you

You can also grab one from home depot but home hardware is the closer to me which on edmonds

I think that marco wont stick on glass? Cuz im making a wall rock where my overflow box

I purchased pond foam at Gardenworks for 23.00. It was uv resistand and non-toxic. They are the only store that I know of that also sells those tiny water pumps for like 10.00, which are great for really small nano tank setups. Cheers!

Wth you guys buy up all the foam?!

The HH I went to didn't have any. Nor the garden works I went to, and haven't seen the pond version at HD.
