Not many things surprise me and make my heart skip a beat but, turning a sock inside out and finding a big-arse 3" bristleworm does it

banditpowdercoat 06-01-2013 03:44 AM

Don't look in my overflow then Its litteraly moving with them.

I set the drains on back to high, so the detritus collects in the V Its a coast to coast overflow. Copulation of Bristle worms in there. gross

The Grizz 06-01-2013 04:08 AM

Another summer of nothing but work, just received a $125,000.00+ contract

It's not seeing them that's a problem, it's the sudden surprise of 'OMG I almost grabbed that thing'

I shouldn't have gone into Canadian Tire today
With Dad's day coming up, they have all kinds of tools on sale
I had to force myself to leave with $150 of stuff or I would have blown all my spare cash

jorjef 06-04-2013 10:37 PM

2(mp60) + 2(6155) > 46(evo1500) or approx 23 per... Thats more than a life time for me...

The Grizz 06-05-2013 04:35 PM

It's my daughters 16th birthday today, she has a bunch of friends over hanging out by the fire in the yard. They all come in and hang out by the tank for a while asking a ton of questions and saying how cool it is. I think it's kinda cool they were so interested!

I'm off to BBQ as I type and wish I had a bunch of friends hanging out right now ...
Too bad I had to work today and, well, there's always next weekend

Plus, I didn't need to hear about a bunch of young women prancing around a BBQ :surprise:

gregzz4 06-09-2013 04:58 AM

I always keep a spare bottle of propane, but jeez my luck tonight ..... :surprise:
Ran out halfway through a ribeye steak and now I'm waiting for it to warm back up - with the steaks half cooked on the grates :twised:

Coralgurl 06-09-2013 05:09 AM

I always hated running out in the middle of a meal!! Love that we have a gas line hooked up to the house....except I forgot to turn the BBQ off one night and left it running for a week.....doh!

reefwars 06-11-2013 01:08 AM

And this is why I have 6 propane tanks for my 3 Weber bbqs:wink: Hooked up full tanks to the bbqs and still have one full one left in the storage room. Need to go fill up the two empties next time I head to Superstore.

hillegom 06-12-2013 06:53 PM

Pls ID this mechanical contraption. Farm?

My friend has this in his workshop and it intrigued me, but for the life of me I cannot fathom what the heck it would have been used for. Please help!!

It is about 20" high and weighs about 50 lbs with all that brass. I haven't a clue.
Thanks

Where did you take your certification? Was it MRFAS?

fishoholic 07-02-2013 04:14 PM

I woke up fairly disappointed this morning. I was having a dream that I was in a saltwater fish store and they had these super cool never seen before inverts that were small like and coloured the same as sexy shrimp but were shaped like deer. I was going to buy one and was searching on my iPhone for more info on them (was thinking of buying 3 if they were ok in groups) when I woke up and realized it was just a dream

Bike crashes suck

Was cruisin home from work doin some decent speed on my road bike. Front tire blows, jams the brakes, and i do an endo over the handlebars. I used my cheek and shoulders as brakes. 10 stitches to the face and a giant goose egg later, i'm finally home and not looking forward to work tomorrow.

Ouch I did that when I was a kid burning across a farmer field. Hurt like hell!! Only I hit a dead tree laying across an over grown path.
