Crappy deal Sheena, maybe you should have got the car in black instead. Hope you didn't get whiplashed.

Sometimes I like to show up to work 2hrs early so day shift gets all excited that their shift is almost over just to be disappointed that it isn't... Is that mean?

Today at work they gave me almost all new tape measures after checking tolerances on mine, they replaced all the tapes I don't use with new ones and didn't replace the one I use

Hurray for 4 new tapes :)

Tomorrow marks 3 years since my wife's stem-cell transplant. Today at her checkup she was officially transferred to long term care and is not technically a cancer patient any longer. Her doctor's told her she's the only one they know of to do this!

Delphinus 03-04-2013 05:09 PM

Wow. Best wishes and continued success for the future.

That's great news! Glad to hear that it had a happy ending. That's quite a trump card that she's going to have for the rest of her life.. "what's that dear? You have to shovel 3 feet of snow? Well, I beat cancer. HTFU."

lastlight 03-04-2013 05:16 PM

Lol thanks guys. Yeah I can counter with "I've had a lot of fish tanks" etc but in the end I'm going to be putting my gear on and going out to shovel the van off aren't I? sidewalks are condo's job

Coleus 03-04-2013 05:16 PM

great to hear and congratulate her and you for beating the odds

The Grizz 03-04-2013 05:20 PM

yeah we need more good news in the news. i should clarify that when they said she was the only one they meant from BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) -> Long term care or whatever they call it.

lockrookie 03-04-2013 06:36 PM

That's awesome news

hillegom 03-04-2013 06:53 PM

Great to hear my friend. Cancer is a real bugger. My wife's cousin died of throat cancer around age 30. Her sis was diagnosed with breast cancer Boxing day 2011 and her aunt was just diagnosed with terminal lung cancer (she's not even a smoker). So its really heartening to hear good news on the Big C front.

Anthony

Lance 03-04-2013 10:10 PM

I wonder if I have it in me to shut down my two 230g's and my 80g and only keep a few of those fish in a 90g ish cube? Hummmmmm I wonder if there'd even be enough interest in my big fish to make it worth while to consider. Also can't help but think it would be a major PITA to try to shut it down. Not to mention how do I say good-bye to my big fish

Families take different shapes and you've made your fish part of yours. I've got a couple that I've had for almost 2 years and as frustrated as I get, can't imagine not having them! You are funny though, if the right tank came up, you'd do another one.....you said so earlier today...lol:lol:

Couldn't you just put them in the 260? It's not like Doug is using it ATM. He prob wouldn't even notice.
