Got home yesterday and the puddle presists. After a busy evening with the kids I finally got them into bed and immediately I started my investigation of this illusive leak. I tighten all the fitting and bulk heads like every mentioned and sat back down to plan out my nightmareish weekend ahead of me but to my surprise the drip has stopped. God what a relief, I was so close to taking a bat to the whole tank, although it would've made a even bigger mess but that was my mind frame at the time. Its was funny I checked all around the fitting yesterday and the bulk head but I guess it was such a small leak, it was jsut hard to detect. regardless its sealed for now. Thanks for all the concerns from the canreef community. You guys are amazing!

Now i can stop by and grab some frags... something is messing up my tank and sps is not very happy... cant figure out what the problem is, guess i"m going to test again once I get home tonight. So far i lost a 5" pocchi small colony :( in less than a day... came home and it was a skeleton... |

Maybe I can stop by and take a look at your system next week some time if you want. |

It is not surprising to have a small leak with all the changes and plumbing you had to do with your bulkheads and new sump. Any time there is a change, that is always a risk, and could be problems. But hopefully, they are minor and easily fixable. Hope you get a chance to relax now, and enjoy that beautiful tank again. |
WOW what ride. Sorry to hear about all your problems . Good to hear they are getting solved.

Glad you fixed the problem.
I sure didn't want you to quit. |
Thats good news been a crazy couple weeks for you. Things are on the up and up now.
|
If he quit, I'd pit my 170lbs against his rather larger body in an effort to change his mind
Maybe it wouldn't get me far, but it might make him re-think things  OK, now I've just opened up a whole area for someone like Kien to jump in with the comments .... |

But, if I ever have to tangle with Rich, we'll be sure to get some pics or vids  I hear his 'threshold' has been pushed lately with his leaking issues :boink: It's all good, I'll make sure he keeps reefing, even if it kills both of us |
You guys are too much. I am only 180 lbs of lean muscle. Well, 180 plus tax.......

I have no idea what those bozos are talking about. I am an upstanding member of this forum that takes reefing and this community very seriously. I treat everyone with the utmost respect and conduct myself with the highest level of decency and etiquette.

So as of yesterday I got the big three in line. 7.5 alk 410 cal and 1350 for mag. I have a couple of large sps colony losing some tissue at the tips. I suspect its due to my alk swing, anyways lets see if they bounce back.
I took some pictures yesterday and thought I share with errbody. http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...pse9bb638c.jpg http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4105b735.jpg http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...psd5b18b8d.jpg http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...ps12d4d766.jpg http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5dc7c6e5.jpg http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...ps25e8b5e8.jpg http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4408733a.jpg http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...psf72c44f0.jpg http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2ccd4ac9.jpg http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...ps09cf0efd.jpg http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7a71fdfe.jpg http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/...psd0832571.jpg |
It's looking good! How well behaved is your Clown Tang? The last one I had turned into a terrorist and wanted to kill everybody in the tank without discretion. Needless to say I had to rehome him. Love those fish though.

Looking great, as always,... very inspiring. Thanks for sharing, Rich.
And I am impressed with that iPhone, has good depth of field. My iPad takes terrible tank pics, up close. |
