Got home yesterday and the puddle presists. After a busy evening with the kids I finally got them into bed and immediately I started my investigation of this illusive leak. I tighten all the fitting and bulk heads like every mentioned and sat back down to plan out my nightmareish weekend ahead of me but to my surprise the drip has stopped. God what a relief, I was so close to taking a bat to the whole tank, although it would've made a even bigger mess but that was my mind frame at the time. Its was funny I checked all around the fitting yesterday and the bulk head but I guess it was such a small leak, it was jsut hard to detect. regardless its sealed for now. Thanks for all the concerns from the canreef community. You guys are amazing!

Maybe I can stop by and take a look at your system next week some time if you want.

You sure like to scare us, don't you,... with the new leak, and all the crazy talk. But glad it's all under control again,... and you're back to normal.

It is not surprising to have a small leak with all the changes and plumbing you had to do with your bulkheads and new sump. Any time there is a change, that is always a risk, and could be problems. But hopefully, they are minor and easily fixable.

Hope you get a chance to relax now, and enjoy that beautiful tank again.

Glad you fixed the problem.
I sure didn't want you to quit.

Azzkr 03-09-2013 06:35 AM

Thats good news been a crazy couple weeks for you. Things are on the up and up now.

gregzz4 03-09-2013 06:42 AM

If he quit, I'd pit my 170lbs against his rather larger body in an effort to change his mind

Maybe it wouldn't get me far, but it might make him re-think things

OK, now I've just opened up a whole area for someone like Kien to jump in with the comments ....

Some entertainment might be good right about now

But, if I ever have to tangle with Rich, we'll be sure to get some pics or vids

I hear his 'threshold' has been pushed lately with his leaking issues :boink:

It's all good, I'll make sure he keeps reefing, even if it kills both of us

Bblinks 03-09-2013 04:35 PM

So as of yesterday I got the big three in line. 7.5 alk 410 cal and 1350 for mag. I have a couple of large sps colony losing some tissue at the tips. I suspect its due to my alk swing, anyways lets see if they bounce back.

I took some pictures yesterday and thought I share with errbody.

It's looking good! How well behaved is your Clown Tang? The last one I had turned into a terrorist and wanted to kill everybody in the tank without discretion. Needless to say I had to rehome him. Love those fish though.

He is one of the smaller tangs in the tank just under 4 inches, when you compare him to the 10 inch naso he is like little mouse. I also have a very aggressive purple tang, yellow, and achilles tang to keep him in check. My worst fear is maybe one day he might just turn on every one. If that does happen I will not hesitate to harpoon the little mf out.

Oh he's pretty small. Hopefully the other tangs will keep him in check. I almost had to resort to the harpoon with mine. He killed a parrot fish in my FOWLR before I could get him out.

And I am impressed with that iPhone, has good depth of field. My iPad takes terrible tank pics, up close.

Thanks Walter, I think the only reason you see depth is cause you have seen my tank in person. lol Really appreciate your kind words.

daplatapus 04-18-2013 12:03 AM

Wow, very nice. I just finished cleaning up a bit on my tank thinkin' it wasn't looking too bad, then I come here...
