Wow. Gorgeous !

I have a mailing address that you can send those unwanted pellets to. I garantee that your pellets will be disposed of in a Eco friendly, zero carbon footprint manner.

Thanks,... haha. I was foolish enough to load up on a boxing day a couple years ago, so still have a couple of unopened 1000 ml bags. But, not sure yet if I can go without redeploying the bio pellet reactor. Nitrates have crept up to about 5 pmm, and if they hit 10, it's going back in. I still remember well my battles of a few years ago, when I had very high nitrates.

Thanks, always have a few frags for sale, and can do fresh clippings.

Well, I bit the bullet and just reimplemented by bio-pellet reactor. I had disconnected it thinking that I didn't need it anymore. But looks like that is not the case. My nitrates gradually climbed, and up to 15 ppm now. So it was time to take action.

Previously, I did not have to add any bio pellets for about a year and a half, and it looked like my bio pellet consumption had slowed to almost nothing. But I guess the reactor was still doing its job and keeping the nitrates at zero even though there were only about 3 inches left tumbling. So I was quite surprised to see how quickly they rose again once the reactor was disconnected.

Can you do a full tank shot. I use biopellets too.

Reef Pilot 07-07-2014 01:30 AM

I am reluctant to even do a full tank shot now, as hard to get a good pic with the long days and daylight reflections from the windows. Also, while my camera does good underwater pics, it is not good through the glass with its auto focus.

But here is one from a few months ago,... best I've got for now...

What are your feeling towards adding sand and scrapping the back glass?

Slyguy00 07-07-2014 10:07 PM

Why? I think it looks great walter!

hillegom 07-07-2014 10:30 PM

I only scrape the front and sides.
