We had really good luck with 'teething tablets' (you can find them at a holistic store). It was a night and day difference for us. Our son didn't like the cold washcloths or teething rings or any of the other tricks people suggested.

+1. I used it on both my kids. After a couple shots they pass right out.

Just rub a little on her gums it works wonders

Freeze a pack of hot dogs then give her one when needed.

i almost commented to this in a bad way.. anyways just be careful that can be a choking hazzard our girls didnt get a tooth untill a couple months ago and the onen just a few days ago they are a year now.. best advice is dollar stor teething rings are cheap enough or there is a product you freaze fruit in that is mesh works well too..

gregzz4 08-16-2012 05:19 AM

I watched lots of Southpark, but not lately with the new season as the first few were a bit lacking
Guess I'll have to go online for answers
At least you're not trying to explain to me about carpets and cardboard ...

fishoholic 08-16-2012 01:18 PM

Wet and freeze a facecloth, it works wonders for teething.

fishoholic 08-16-2012 01:19 PM

**** I just realized I'm over 5000 posts and I didn't notice till now (at 5011)

Not so good advice. Dollar store anything is made from the cheapest materials and cheap plastic can contain all kinds of toxins including but limited to industrial wastes. Not suitable for anyone's mouths let alone a baby. If you are giving a teething ring best practice is to research and spend a little more.

Hahaha this Chinese lady at the grocery store said,"let them chew on beef jerky, and put a bit of sugar in their formula"............ Right cause babies need all the sodium and sugar :Pshes feeling a bit more chipper this morning, but her cheeks are so rosey lol. Poor kids I just felt bad when she was whiny and all I could do was try to give her the chilled teething ring and some infant Tylenol.

sphelps 08-16-2012 04:04 PM

I thought you're suppose to put whiskey on their gums... Works wonders for me

Aquaria 08-16-2012 05:09 PM

Ya my son started teething to he's a tough kid tho and with some baby tylonol he's happy as can be LOL poor kid got both bottom front teeth at the same time. His fav teething ring is a star from bright starts collection he loves it more then any other one we have

I just talked with a new friend from Europe and he said that his father did the same to him. And gave him a shot when he was sick. Became an alcoholic and now has to go cold turkey to fight his addiction.

We never used alcohol for our kids and they are teething just fine.

not nessesarily true. yes some are i agree are garbage the ones we got came from NY the wifes family bought them and they are made exacty the same as the more pricey ones.. and they seem to like them more than the other teething supplies we got at toys r us that is only why i made the suggestion. but i do agree some in the dollar store ones are not suitable especially the ones at dollar giant. discresion is always advised with anything you give your kids. we had bought a toy for sorting and it had a hole big enough for thier finger to go in and got stuck...it was not a fun day.. the toy is not put away with the company informed untill thier fingers fatten up.

don.ald 08-17-2012 03:13 PM

sheesh! i had no idea that those tweezers above the sink in the bathroom cabinet shouldnt be used for the fish tank?

Nano 08-17-2012 03:55 PM

The Grizz 08-17-2012 03:57 PM
