I need to be convinced for your actions towards the doser:biggrin:

Here is my action. I am out I am sorry.
I like to win and I need a good doser.
Off to a boxing day I go. One question if every one writes a good essay they all deserve to win.

Alright well here is my shot at writing about why I think not only I, but anyone else would need/want this doser.
It's pretty simple when I look at this great give away, it's a free doser, who in the heck wouldn't be all excited about winnging a free doser, maybe only people who don't dose anythign to their tanks or anyone who has a doser already lol Though I like the idea about having to write an essay on why someone would need the doser more than someone else, I beg to differ that any one person would need the doser more than any one other person. It's still a doser, it doses chemicals that the user needs to dose to their tank to enhance the life of things within the tank. I'd think it would be hard to believe that one person would need to do this any more drastically over another. In my case I started a tank in dreams of having a SPS dominated tank, inwhich I need to dose daily. I'm manually dosing daily and the doser would level out my dosing so my tank doesn't spike (calcium for an example) when I add it all at one time because I can't be home to dose 10 times a day.
That being said, I don't believe I need the doser more than anyone else, and I think if anyone else thought they needed the doser more than one other person, I'd beg to differ. In the original post the rules were simple, Keep the thread going, I'd like to think I did my fair share of keeping the original thread going and making it aware to others to join in the give away. I played within the rules and am still happy to be part of the give away. I plan on using this doser 100% for my tank for the ease and care of my corals.
All in all, everyone will make out what they want about what I've written here, but I will still stand by what I've said and hope others do too.

Im almost finished setting up my upgraded 60 gallon Reef tank/30 gallon Sump now with a 15 gallon display refugium and have been debating picking up some sort of dosing pump to maintain Calcium and Alkalinity. Well this pump will solve my problem, but then another one arises. What to do with the third doser?

-Magnesium?
-Strotium?
-Auto Top Off?

These all seem like great ideas, but a little boring. My tank isnt huge so i should be able to top off trace elements with regular water changes and maybe a manual dose every once in a while. And I've already got my ATO working with an aqualifter. So maybe its time to get a little more creative.

1. Rube Goldberg Machine
http://www.utexas.edu/features/archi...hics/rube3.jpgThis would never work out here in Vancouver because it rains way too often, I'd be late for work all the time. But now with my handy doser, I can be woken up at the exact same time every morning.

2.Chinese Water Torture

With my new dosing pump i could leave my dungeon unattended for long periods of time knowing that i will get a consistent and measured drip on the foreheads of my victims.

3.Refreshment

I could run some tubing straight into my freezer and have a perfectly measured glass waiting for me next to my tank every night when I got home.



So as you can see Elias, the dosing pump would not go to waste in my home. But whether my entry is picked or not, I will probably be giving you a call in the next month for some Carbon & GFO as I get the tanks filled and running again.

I'm look forward to hearing what other Canreefers had planned for this dosing unit.
