Well I will have to pack 50+ corals for my move so I need fish bags (100 possibly). Any clue where I can get those?

Your LFS should be able to help you out.

I bought mine here...

Very easy to deal with.
If your just moving across town large ziplock bags should work just fine

Or salt water buckets.
Although I see why you would individually bag them (more water, more dilution= less toxins) BUT its a trade up. Your going to spend an incredible amount of time trying to individually bag corals, as many will attest time is the enemy when doing any sort of tank transfer.

Thanks for the link Shelly. But they are USA based so I might not be getting them as soon as I need it. Thanks for the ziploc idea; that didn't came to my mind.

Well putting them in a tote would definitely be a quick solution but the problem is they will be transferred twice in 10 days span. And I will be using my brother-in-law's car. Those uphill and downhill ride can cause spill which I want to avoid at all cost. And the rolling of corals over one another. Tough time is coming for my tank.

I keep most of my bags (and elastics) when I buy livestock. I'm not sure how many I have, but you are more than welcome to them! Different sizes and quality.
Personally I feel ziplock bags are fine for sandwiches, but not corals. They are just too thin.
The corners of the zipper portion also tend to leak.
If you do use them double them up.

Honestly, for transporting corals, the main thing I dont trust is the "ziplock" part of the bag...especially if your transporting 100+.
Always try to tie a bag instead of ziplocking them cause they are not meant to hold lots of water.

agreed - given the amount of money you spend there...

Thanks Sheena. I have sent Denny a PM and waiting to see whether he can help me out. If not, I might have to bug you to grab some bags :D

Thanks :) Yah the apartment manager really liked that I have a "saltwater" tank. She even asked me whether I have a feather duster in there

I'd suggest giving a couple frags of your favorites to friends for when you lose half your corals.
