I have a 4'x8' cryptic zone on our coral beds that is full of all kinds of crazy sponges.
White sponge, black sponge, yellow sponges, long stringy blue sponge that waves in the flow.
I love cryptic zones!
I dont have a fuge but we do have chaeto in our overflows and it really just doesnt grow...

What do you have for a flow rate in your crypt
I tried to run cheato but found it just fell apart (died). Also have semi cryptic zone which is full of pods and worms.
I also run a cryptic zone vs. refugium.
Very high flow rate running through my sump. It consists of some live rock rubble suspended with some eggcrate.
I have live rock in my sump as a cryptic zone as well, I guess.. It is very cryptic because I have no clue what it's for.
This is typezero cryptic add on 65g sump! He has 1power head in there. Iam pretty madjelly because I can not have one:confused:http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/01/eta9edeq.jpg

I imagine that under the flow under eggcrate would be alot slower flow rate and top would have higher flow?
Is it loaded with sponge and fan worms

Its not a LOT slower, but for sure it is slower then the top. Lots of fan worms and tonnes of sponges.
