Just curious to know what your favorite Tang is?
Perhaps add a comment as well....

My favorite is my white cheek. Although my yellow has been with me for years and has a very fond spot in my tank

My favorite tang is my yellow eye kole tang. At least for now, but my opinion changes occasionally. For a long time is was a purple tang (they still come in at a very very close second.

Yellow. First fish I ever bought. Wasn't expecting much but has turned out to be one of my favorite pets ever. Great personality, extremely hardy, beautiful, perfect for my tank. Ling is the queen of my tank and deserves to be.

Mine would be my Powder Brown (Acanthurus japonicus ). A wonderfully mild tempered Tang who I think is in love with my Bicoloured Blenny

Mine is the white cheeked ( not the powder brown which is nicknamed a white faced) the white cheeked is purple and blue beautiful fish too bad it does not do well in captivity.

Yellow. Spiffy has been here five years. I plopped her on the bankers desk when I went to borrow money on the way home.......
I have had many others, my purple was totally obnoxious, my kole was stupid, the acanthurus species I had were just too aggressive or needed more space....

my favorite tang would have to be my Olive Tang, as I have had him since he was just a baby. He is a bit mean to other fish though. My newest addition was a regal tang and they both get along wonderfully. I would say that the regal is getting close to being my favorite fish, but I am afraid the Olive beats him up because of my comments.

If you have only kept one type of tang, obviously it would be your favorite....

I haven't had the opportunity yet, but I'd love a Sohal.
My favourite tang would be powder blue tang. The colour combination and its overall body composition is like a piece of contemporary art with a timeless elegance.

My favorite tang is a Yellow tang we call "Mr. T" he swims around with attitude saying "what you talking 'bout fool". Like the looks of the Naso Vlamingis I have seen, Maybe now i have a bigger tank...

The only tang I have ever kept is my yellow tang. I'm sorry to admit that it is not the finest looking specimin any longer. It was the first fish I ever got, and has paid for my mistakes and learning along the way. Poor diet left it with traces of HLLE, an ich infection resulted in fin infections that left it missing portions of its fins, and its colour is just not as vibrant as it used to be. Still it seems to have forgiven me all this and lives happily.
Because of this, I had not originally planned on moving it into my new reef tank, instead leaving it in my FO tank. I did decided to move it in anyway instead of getting the purple tang that I really wanted. I figure that I owe it to this fish to give it the best home I can now for surviving all these years despite my efforts. It seems quite pleased with its new home. It serves to remind me to learn more and do more to care for these creatures.
When the time comes, I will then look for a purple tang and I will do a much better job of caring for it.
