This time of year sucks to own a nano (unless u have a chiller). All though I do have a fan blowing across the water this temp still climbs up to 82, and i go through ro water like crazy. I need to invest in an air conditioner lol:lol:

There is a nano chiller available out of the US that has gotten excellent reviews not sure of shipping costs though

Just put regular ice cubes in a ziplock bag and float it. Don't need to use ro ice cubes

AC for the aquarium and for me here. I cannot survive in the heat so the AC was a must.
My aquarium water never really fluctuate.

I use frozen bottles of water in my tank. One ~375ml bottle can drop my temp from 86 to 83 in30-40 mins, so it's pretty effective... When I'm home that is.

My Seahorse is in a 20 gallon in my kitchen, it has an aquarium fan blowing 24/7 but yesterday the temp got to 79 even still, so today the game plan is to move her to the basement. No easy task.

Yup.
This is the season I fondly look back at my nano days and smile... Because I no longer have it. :twised:
82 was the norm for it through summer. Lost a few corals every summer when the temp spiked.
I would say at least, get yourself an auto top off. Will relieve one head ache.

My 55 + 15 gal sump got to 79.7 yesterday. Today it's gonna be 7 deg hotter.
The 79.7 was with my apex controller running fans (3) and eventually shut down my day lights as well I don't want it spiking over 80.
My range is 77-79.5

Dropping ice cubes in is a waste. They melt fast. Use a sour cream container and freeze treated water. Add a small iceberg that will take some time to melt away.
The water bottle idea is prObably even better.

That's a really good idea, I'm gonna try it.
