Hey everyone, name's Justin Grimm. 1st time poster, long time lurker!

Anyways, I spent the day photographing some underwater critters for the first time and some local reef shops. I don't have a tank yet, but hopefully within the year after coutless hours of research I'll be ready to start.
These were shot in very difficult lighting conditions, which needed some intense white balance adjustments. Also since the lighting was so dim, extensive focus stacking was used for the coral shots. The biggest stack was 14 shots if I remember correctly.

Im only posting 4 pictures here, but I have many more of my flickr page in much higher resolution for everyone to check out the amazing details of these alien looking corals. Thanks for looking, and I'll be sure to keep posting pictures here in the mean time while I gather information.

Yes they are! Sorry I thought I added that into my original post.

Big thanks to RED CORAL for letting me take up space and take pictures :D

Thanks Jeff. I'll most likely be back at Red Coral today to try and improve my clown shots, and to drool over the amazing anemone while they still have it. It has definitely inspired me to think about setting up an original reef tank layout for myself though.

I've seen your tank, you have 360g's of room  Besides you have green and purple you might as well add a beautiful blue one too

Id say it is worth setting up a new tank for and letting it be the main focal point. I hope whoever buys it has lights that are more white then blue. It looks so much better showing its natural colours.
