So I bought the 100gpd model used and replaced all the filters.
Now the numbers are coming out at 0 ppm
But the water coming out is painfully slow. Maybe 10:1
Waste to good. What is the problem?

Do you have good house pressure? (should be around 40psi)
Perhaps the booster pump is kaput. It need about 40psi inlet to boost properly.

Ya it seems to have good pressure 75psi

What pressure is your running at, do u have a flow restrictor in the waste line ?

The drain line has good flow. And the good water is dripping out.
Any other ideas?

But is the flow restrictor in the line did I change the water line when u set it up ?

Sorry I'm not understanding what you are asking

There should be a flow restrictor in the waste water line the vertex one is a small clear plastic piece that fits inside the 1/4 inch water line and its easily lost. With out it you will have tons of flow out the drain line. Only other issue I had was bad to membrane but I issume u changed yours .

Where is the flow restricter located?

Should be inside the waste water line. I see this post it might help or when I get back from the airport ill take pictures

Nope don't have one of those. How do I get one? Who sells them?

Well I picked one up from bulk reef supply. If u have the hose that came with it chances r it's stuck inside or the seller might have it. I assume u can find one at any water additive store? The one included with the vertex was always in the blue hose in my experience. But it didn't have the long stringy tail like show in the previous post

Just ensure u match the flow restrictor for the size of the membrane in your ro unit. Eg 100 gpd matches with 100 gpd

Hope this is ur issue

I have the same system and it pretty much comes complete I am sure that it has the flow restrictor in , have you done a test say like for an hour and see how much water it produces ? It is a 100g per day not per hour right ? ...... And what I learned from someone else on here fill two jugs at the same time ,one for production and one for the waste it should be 4:1 or so

I love my puratek I feel it's one of the best ro/di units out there IMO I would find it hard to believe its not working well
