But the split which happened a week ago seems to be withering away.

Tried to feed it last night, looked like it ate the piece of shrimp but still not as plump as the parent, or really plump at all.

Thoughts ??

Most of the time when I've had a BTA split, the "new" anemones would sort of look a little spent for about a day, then continue on as normal after that (just 1/2 size). That said, I have seen a few splits which have seen to completely exhaust the anemones and they've looked .. well .. weak for a while (i.e., weeks).

My guess, if it's taken food already, I'd not really sweat it. I'd continue feeding it occasionally, I think that will help it to get its strength back.

HTH...

Well the split has "plumped" up, so I feel a little better about that. Then the mama BTA when and go sucked through my overflow.

Now I have 4 bta's, I assume under stress these guys will break apart to save themselves and multiply.

Anyways, interesting to see and something I thought might be of interest.
