Now that my tank is free of red bug I want to keep it that way.

Doing some reading I found that my usual dip coral rx does not kill red bug. I have a new bottle of RPS but don't want to set up qt and carbon for one or two frags each time. I read on some success with revive but others on certin threads say it does not work either

Is there another dip that does kill RB.

I don't think you would have to set up carbon qt for RPS dipped frags. I would say that's over exaggeration. Maybe the frags will need a better cleaning than those dipped in others but that's it I believe. If I were to put the frags in a smaller DT (like 10gallon or less), then I would be a bit worried.

I'm actually planning on dipping one this weekend prior to my weekly water change. I do run carbon 24/7 so I don't think it will be an issue.

Wish me luck =)

Yeah true enough. Just didn't want to take chances. I did dip in coral rx. Frags looked clean. With no pest at all

red bugs may be a little harder but for things like aefw even just cutting your frag off of the plug/rock/base it was on can help out greatly in avoiding getting eggs in the tank.

although a qt tank can be as simple as a 5 gallon bucket filled with 2 gallons water, a small powerhead and a bag of carbon for an hour to help soak up the extra RPS. doesn't have to be a whole other set up continually running

I usually snap the frag off the plug and if I don't I have a toothbrush to scrub the plug.

I just hate the idea of going through all that work for one frag but I should just buckle down and do it as its one dirty frag that can destroy my tank

I have been using this as a dip for a few years now. works very well and it is much cheaper than other dips, also seems to be less harsh on the acros. there has been a large amount of people that have used it with the same success. for nuisance algae hydrogen peroxide works very well.
