I have a six line wrass with 2 cleaner shrimp in the tank currently. I haven't had any problems with the wrass at all. Just to be on the safe side buy the biggest shrimp you can get. HTH

Naw, you should be fine. I have shrimp with my sixline wrasse. Only thing he did when I added my shrimp was check out the new additions with some curiosity.

Are you positive the wrasse ate the blood shrimp?

It is highly unlikely a six line would eat a shrimp. It has a very small mouth after all. Mine has never looked at a shrimp, and I got the shrimp when they were teeny.

I didnt see him kill it but was feeding on it when i caught him,the shrimp had just molted to,i guess it could have been the hermits but they dont seem to bother anything.

Just because u say the wrasse eating the carcasse doesnt mean anything. They will pick at things. The wrasse probaly didnt kill the shrimp they are really intolerable to amonia so that might have killed it.

6 lines are pod eaters,it might have been eating the bugs that were eating the shrimp.

thanks for the posts guys they make sence, that it was picking at it rather than killing it,or picking at thre pods that were eating the dead shrimp , i guess it was in the wrong place at the wrong time :)

It happens everybody suspects things even in a reef tank because they dont want everything to be eaten. You work so hard for one fish or crab to just take over and eat those prize corals you have been growing.
