Good Day:

I just received my first online frag order and I very happy with the process and corals. They shipped overnight and delivered to doorstep. The water temp was around 68 Deg. F when I unpacked them. They were individually bagged and then rebagged. The only thing that I was a bit surprised by was the size of one the more expensive LPS coral I purchased. I was about 1/2" square. When I looked at the description there was no size stated. All other were pretty typical for size.

The stuff I purchased:
Ultra Bullseye Mushroom Blue Mushroom Blue Ricordea Blue/Green Hairy Mushroom Green Bullseye Mushroom Green Ricordea Multicolor Ricordea Purple Dot Mushroom Purple Base Yuma Pink Ricordea Eclipse Paly Eye Of Rah Paly Feeling Peachy Paly Greenbay Packers Paly Ojeye Zoas Red Skirt Lady Zoas Watermelon Zoas White Eye Paly Cat Eyes Paly Skittles Paly FAL Daisy Dukes Echinophyllia Bloody Mary Aussie Acan Green Torch Green Octospawn FAL Extreme Favia Nuclear Blasto Neon Pavona Aussie Pink Eye Goniastrea Neon Hairy Mushroom Neon Yuma Aussie Flaming Purple Echinophyllia
I have four rock formations in my tank and they are all pretty vertical. I was wondering if I could get some advice and the coral placement. Most of the mushroom and ricordea will be going to the bottom, the various Paly & Zoas I wanted to place going up the rock and the other LPS I was going to have to place on top of the formations.

I just had a few questions:

1. Do most people try to remove the frag plug/disc?
2. Do you glue/epoxy the frags in place?
3. I had various degrees of luck of trying to wedge the frags in place.
4. Any other suggestions would be great.

Thanks,
Michael

Hi:

The pictures are there when I look at the post. Can someone else confirm if the pictures are working? They are 1000x1000 pixels, linked from my Dropbox account.

Thanks,
Michael

Hi:

I tried two different ways. What is the point of trying to use Dropbox to link your images to be included in different posts?

The one work around is to add the images to my Photo Album on the forum and then link the images to that. However, the max size is 600x600 pixels.

Has anyone found a useful program to upload their photos and then have a linked image?

Or can someone tell me what step I am missing in trying to use Dropbox to do this?

Thanks,
Michael

Cute little tank, looks nice.
I found it way easier to use photobucket and just use the img code

1. Do most people try to remove the frag plug/disc?
2. Do you glue/epoxy the frags in place?
3. I had various degrees of luck of trying to wedge the frags in place.
4. Any other suggestions would be great.

1. Some do, some don't. Matter of personal choice. But to me, plugs are just too ugly to be in my reef and they seems to always harvest funky stuffs! Plus I find it really hard to place them.

2. Both have their use. Glue is generally preferred to stick frags while some people like using epoxy. Epoxy can be used to fill up the gaps between the frags and the rock to give the coral a smooth growth to grow.

3. Suggestion: Dip dip and dip!
