I have some live rock with bubble and hair algae, aptasia, mushrooms, and some other pests on it, it has been drying for about a week now and I was wondering what the best way to make it pest free and usable is?

well if it's been drying chances are it's killed everything on there.
Next would be to put into a tub with a heater and powerhead and let the stuff rot off and decompose. (takes months)

Or theres the acid method, but I'm not familar with that.

I use peroxide to kill most algaes and put the rock back into the tank. Algae turns white and dies off.
yes returns nutrients to the tank, but that's what the skimmers for.

Once you're sure it's good and dry, the pests are kapoot. Then you're best bet is to cook it for a while. Then you've got brand new rock that's ready to go.

If you're in a hurry though, there's also the bleach method as well as the acid method. I first read about it here: http://www.3reef.com/forums/live-rock/reusing-old-live-rock-37810.html

Note: I've never done either the acid or the bleach treatment.
