Reef meet April.6th BBQ!
So we are going to do this a little different!
It's going to be a frag swap but food, well either for money or frags.
Mix it up.
Burgers, ribs, and wings!

Can we get more detail? Who's hosting this on April 6th? And we have trade frags for food?

Well it certainly could be arranged. Early April might be premature to BBQ weather though, especially this far east.

Come on, we're Canadian! BBQ season is January to December.

Unfortunately I can't make it that date though. Too bad, I've missed the last 3 or so due to conflicts. Maybe the next one ... sigh.

Big time, cdn bbq 365!

It should be mandatory for Canadians to have a bbq in winter.

There's a big difference between throwing some stuff on the BBQ that's wheeled up to the patio door so you don't technically have go outside to hosting a party that requires your guests to huddle around your BBQ for warmth.

I BBQ in the winter as well, but having a BBQ event in the winter is not something I would plan on.

Agreed, its cold enough camping in May, hosting an outside event in April is pretty risky weather wise.

I like the idea, might just be a bit too early to pull off....unless its indoors...

Sounds like a lot if people don't want to do it.

I have an LED flashlight now so I'm good to go!

I'm also game for whatever. BBQ inside, outside, BBQ inside with Concept bay doors wide open. HTFU guys. And you call yourselves Calgarians.

If you BBQ at back of concept with bay doors open using apple wood or cedar smoke I am sure people will come.top it off with lots of frags maybe a show and tell of something....me bringing ribeye steaks, home made hamburgers (restaurant) ...some salads ....getting hungry now:biggrin:

Why do you need a new thread? This one was just fine. HTFU Matt!

.. that is unless the new thread means that Concepts is sponsoring the Calgary Reef Meet and supplying all the munchies! In that case carry on!

I'm also definitely in. April 6th or 7th. Or really any day in April. I want to get me some new corals!

And we haven't gone a week without BBQing all winter. Steaks just aren't the same any other way. The key is to move your BBQ as close to your patio door as possible, so that you can just lean out with a pair of long tongs to flip them.

I'll happily bring some burgers or steaks if it's at Concept.

Depending on specific days/times I'd be interested. Don't really have have any frag to swap...I'm gonna have to give it some thought for something other than a frag.

There was a lot of people complaining about it to cold to have a BBQ. Only the bbq'er has to be outside.
Sunday would work best from what I got.
Also the end of April or beginning of may works best.
