Little plate coral I found on some palys I bought, was about 5mm when I got it, about an inch now

Some sort of anemones that will be killed with fire if they move

What I believe to be a neon green toadstool, about 3mm across little white round blob behind mushrooms. Has neon green polyps when open

I'd look in to that anemone more. I don't trust those little buggers unless I know exactly what they are. I remember the first time I saw an aiptasia hitchhiker in my tank, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world.

I wish I had more to post, my tank is low on hitchhikers. Only 66 pounds of the rock in it were 'live', and I've broken every piece of coral off the base it came on before putting it in. The coolest hitchikers I have are two species of encrusting coral that are either porites or montipora. Well, used to be cool, now they're taking up too much real estate and are threatening to overgrow things I actually paid for.

My favorite hitch hiker is my smithii mantis shrimp. Got her as she was only 1/4" and now she's been with my for a year and half and she's 4" adult size. Very shy though, but I still like her.

Got this guy with the first piece of live rock I got about a year ago. It was bleached completely white and now has 2 babies beside it. I feed it brine shrimp once and a while and the odd flake.

The crab is from the Platypodia genus. It's also very poisonous, so please don't eat.

I got a new LifeProof case for my iPhone in the mail today. They're water proof up to 2m, so what's the first thing I did...

These are the two main species of coral that came with my live rock, there's a third, but there's only tiny patches of it and it's mostly in the shade and not growing. These two are threatening to take over the tank. Anyone have an idea of what they are?

http://i1100.photobucket.com/albums/g411/asylumdown/file_zps27db919d.jpg
- right in the middle.
http://i1100.photobucket.com/albums/g411/asylumdown/file_zps2e05fa1f.jpg
- the whole rock.
This species is tan/pink and is completely encrusting 4 large rocks. I'm pretty sure it's the species that actually built my rock. I'm thinking either montipora or porites?

http://i1100.photobucket.com/albums/g411/asylumdown/file_zps6afb27fe.jpg
- right in the middle, above the frogspawn
This species is less bulbous and more encrusting, it has the slightest hue of green to it, and glows slightly green in the moonlights. It's pretty aggressive, I've had to move a couple colonies as it's advanced over this rock.

Sorry for the overly blue photos, No matter what I do, my iPhone cannot deal with the LEDs. It doesn't look that washed out in person by a long shot

That is a Curry Puff Crab and it is an endangered species and will make you sick. 2 reasons not to eat it.

The crab is NOT endangered. ReefOcean, simply went to; http://www.wildsingapore.com/wildfacts/crustacea/crab/xanthidae/platypodia.htm
and assumed that because the site lists this crab as endangered in Singapore, thought that means it is also endangered else where. This is not the case.

I am glad you have determined this species to NOT be endagered.

I did some checking and I can't find much more info on its threat level. A couple "unevaluated"s etc. I know it is unlikely for a small crab to be threatened, but I am simply going off the available information.

If this animal is not endagered or threatened, perhaps a couple of links might help.

I am not sure, as User pointed out. I only found one site with information on its threat status.

But if you are really hungry, you might want to hold out until a 10 inch mantis shrimp hitchhiker crawls out of your rock work. I heard they are absolutely delicious with saffron

So I got my coolest hitchhiker along with my new coolest coral from kazzman a week ago , the hitchhiker was a spiny star snail which I was looking for just that day at a LFS but they were out http://s1359.beta.photobucket.com/user/StaceyG72/media/image_zps0fd3b12a.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1 I am really not sure how he missed that thing lol
