Cut All the dead off....take the longest cut side and zip tie to a piece of rock.....a little zip tie or even thin thin fishing line or thread...no glue... Don't put putty on it or glue or put it on a "frag" disc.

Put it where it gets strong current...but not like a direct storm. but enough to keep crap from settling on anything.

oh and...hydnophora....

Just frag off some healthy pieces Jeff, and chuck the rest. You should see what i throw away after fragging up bigger stuff.Nobody passes thru here and then most are afraid of sps...so i just close my eyes and trash lots.

Yeah it does but I almost killed it once 4 years ago and this is the result. If I can save one chunk it may be amazing again one day here's for hopeing

YOu should frag healthy pieces as soon as possible as it will all go if you don't.

They grow very fast though, and are resistant. Mine does not have such packed tight structure as yours. Maybe the base did not get enough ligth and current.

I think the issue is I'm treating for algea and it irritated it. Yes it does grow and I plan to frag it just had no rubble to attach the frags to. I just hope I can get a good size piece to keep for myself to start over with. But now that I have some rubble thanks to our lfs I'm good to go for operation regrow
