Well, good week for fish. Finally got the black leopard wrasse I've been after for 3 years, and finally a healthy achilles tang, after searching for 12 years.

I've known the wrasse for a few years, and he's gone right into the display from a trustworthy tank. The achilles is in QT for a week for treatment with CP, then upstairs to see some of his old friends.

Pics to come :)

The tang is pretty bullet proof. I've known it for 2 years, it used to live in the display at Pro Reef..just want to hit it with CP as preventative before it goes upstairs.

chloroquine phosphate. Alternative to copper and much safer. Treats ich and velvet (and brook, apparently).

Ya, I was worried it might break out with ich, but nothing so far and eating well.
Most of the fish in my 180 used to live with this guy, I hope they remember each other -lol

I would have to remove 170g of water first. Light out right now, it's calmed down a bit
Ya, eating well, even in the first 30 seconds in 180.

Use one.. It works like a charm! Go to the dollar store or london drug and get a hand held one.. Mine has a hole in the handle and I hang it on the outside of the tank with a magnet holder.

The mirror trick worked wonderfully. For less than a second :) I turned the blue channel on (try that with MH!!) and it seems the PB "may" let the Achilles exist. For now.

Yeah Brad, but dont forget when Bruce (Achillies) went in the Pro Reef tank at first the two of them were a constant war, but after a few battles they calmed down. The huge gash the powder blue had from Bruce was like 3" long, remember?? They will remember each other just give them time.

Was home for lunch today, looks like the Achilles is ok as long as he doesn't go near the food clip. Then it's on. I'll give him his own dinner tonight. I may not have to drain the tank afterall!! :)

Not today he doesn't. He's got a couple of battle scars. Nothing too bad, so should heal up in a few days. But he doesn't seem stressed much.

Biggest delay is waiting for it to fill. If I had a bigger pump, I could do it under 30min. Currently have a tank full of ticked off SPS and a lot of slime. And a Powder Blue in the frag tank really ****ed!!

Mike, I used a 1800gph pump and borrowed a couple 50g barrels to go with the one I have. I've got it down to a routine, this was the third time I've had to do it. Way too much coral slime though, my skimmer over flowed with gunk!
