Finally! My red gorg is extending polyps! I have had it a couple of weeks along with a yellow one. :D

Please excuse my glass I didn't want to disturb it by cleaning it.

yellow. this one was extending its polyps on day one. :)

this one has been growing like crazy this last week or so. I thought I was going to loose it with the rest of them when I got it.

The red and yellow gorg are beautiful! if they're photosynthetic and you ever want to sell a frag please keep me in mind.

more than likely what you have is anthelia what lynn has is a gorgonian from the carribean that is photosynthetic.

lastlight, Both are non photosynthetic I am afraid.

No worries Baldy I don't mind. Id like to know the name of it myself. I think it is the only thing in my tank I don't know the name of. :)
Common anyway I know non of the scientific names for them. :lol:

The blade and the furry club ;) is from concept, the Red and yellow I got from golds a couple weeks ago.

More are extended today and looks like there will be more yet that are going to come out. I think I can consider it out of the woods. :)

I find this one is very sensitive, I went back to try to get a better full shot of it and all the polyps were retracted, there was a hermit that crawled onto its base.

With my Macro lens. I am still learning how to use this camera and I didn't pulll out the tripod so its what I got :lol:
