Watched several clips on YouTube tonight about various SW aquariums housekeeping, fish, CUC and various filtration systems and I found it funny to listen or watch some of these guys explain about their tanks because it is really hard to take somebody seriously who dresses as a gangsta and talks like one he maybe knowledgable but sorry when someone uses words like "dawg" , "da snizzle" , "dat" and other words I can't help myself I burst out laughing and wishing I could give them something like hooked on phonics because I just can't take them seriously.

I may be old fashioned but when a guy stands in front of a camera hat turned to the side or backwards wears lots of "bling" and uses street slang there is no way I can take that person seriously no matter how knowledgable they may be on the subject. In my world presentation is everything.

In my world people like you are opinionated! But thats just my opinion and at times maybe we should just keep our opinions to ourselves.

Watched a u tube vid of da gansta slinging his gat around , it goes off and the first words out of his mouth are "oh s*** my moms gonna be p*****", now thats funny (the living with the mom part , not the acidental discharge part ) .But i agree its hard to take some people seriously when there is a definite air of imaturity , or they are extream tryhards . Must be societies failing to give people some idea of selfworth or personality so they have to make one up, but hey this is just my opinion , now if you will excuse me ive got to put in my gold grill ,bling it up, put on some phat beats , and go to wall mart im out of milk.

Define "old" :)

If you know what a car phone is or if you know how much a Tandy computer cost I think they both can classify you as being "old"

Hey I still have my TRS-80 CoCo 2 =)

OLD!!! I have my Commodore 64 with fast load cartridge, floppy drive and all disks, still in original packaging. Probably have my old pager kicking around somewhere, next the the ole 8-track or reel-2-reel.

Sad thing is that I know what a TRS-80 is, Good ole Tandy products. Good stuff back then!

Nothing like popping in a cartridge or a cassette tape to load up a 'game' lol. You were spoiled with the fancy disk drive!

I hope there's a strapping young lad in the neighborhood to shovel your walks and do your water changes

Actually, it's funny, I ski and mountain bike with my son, and there are times (esp if we have a deep powder day) that he can't keep up with me....LOL.

You know, the one thing I regret, is not grabbing and keeping some souvenirs from the good old days. Used to always walk around with punch cards in my upper shirt pocket. We didn't have the yellow post-it pads in those days....

Yup, and programming in Assembler and debugging in machine code sure was fun.... Had to really know your hexadecimal, then later had to convert to ascii, unix, etc, etc..... <sigh>
