I pm'd Haloreef a few minutes ago about these frogs, asked if they would start a thread about them.

I saw them at Big al's (Edmonton) on boxing day.

I have a lot to learn about them before I get them. I want to setup another reef but until I am in a more permanent location it makes no sense, as I will just be unhappy with a "nano" tank.

I'm looking at various Vivariums in stores, but I am also looking at making a 70 gallon or so "peninsula" style vivarium...but not while it is cold outside..

But Ultimately, I miss my reef tank...so who knows. I'm fighting the urge to have a tank built...I can't put it up and would have to store it...yet I still want to get it built...sigh...reefs, 5.5 years is pretty good will power no?

You can find suppliers of dart frogs in Calgary all you have to do is Che k out Canadart www.canadart.org. Many Dart keepers will have juvinile frogs for sale at almost any time during the year.
You can also try checking out www.understoryenterprises.com
I have plenty of pictures but for the sake of my own sanity I choose not to try and learn how to post photos. The last time I tried I was just shy of needing a new computer and bay window!

Thanks for the links!

Cool animals. Now to convince the kids that frogs are cooler than lizards.

I'd like to have more setups but that would either involve less salty worlds, a new house, or a divorce!

Thank You. Understory I have been checking out for awhile :)

I have always been looking for local...... I got rid of my credit cards years ago....so buying from websites etc is more often than not impossible.

We can all use these great resources...I for one did not know of them at all. And Dart frogs too have been in the back of my mind

Excellent. Thank you for all of the info Guys!

I checked J&J and they were not listed on their website, but I am going to call them as well.

Does anyone have a take of Vivariums/terarriums?

I should say I don't visit reptile stores too often though....snakes freak me out a tad...bit of a phobia there I am afraid.

Locally....so far as I have seen, there are Exo Terra and Atasuki...unless you make your own.

Any info on which is better? or other choices? I know Bow Valley used to make them...but I've been gone a long time.

As well as recommended misting/fog etc?
Basically any tips? I'm reading on Frog forums as well....but I already trust my fellow canreefers :)

Steer clear of Bow Valley (I speak from experience, and a bad one it was). I bet Concept could make you one.
