Good Day:

I am trying to use Dropbox to insert images within the text of my message.

I can't get it to work.

The link uses the secure "https" protocol. Is this type of link compatible with this Forum?

Most if not all of the inserted images I see on the post use "http".

Thanks,
Michael

Use photobucket. I don't think Dropbox works here unless it just a link to pic

This image is hosted on dropbox. You need to make sure the URL is between the {img} {/img} but replace the {} with []

Hi:

Thanks for the reply. I still have an issue.

Your URL for your photo is: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/26003034/wysiwyg.jpg

When I am using Dropbox and click share link, link copied to clipboard it is like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tg8m989wqjh3bxt/DSC_8142.jpg

It doesn't have the "dl" part. I was wondering what you are doing differently?

Thanks,
Michael

I replaced the www with dl and it works. :)

Did you make sure the image is in the public folder?

Hi:

I still can't get it to work. I drop my files in the Dropbox folder, icon in system tray. By the way I am running Windows Vista.

How do I know which folders are public?

I go to my Dropbox on the internet, I click share file, and copy link. I don't have a right click option to copy link directly.

My Link still looks like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q19ly9rcqiqsiva/DSC_8140.jpg This opens a tab with my picture on the dropbox website.

Thanks again.

I am running mac osx and I have dropbox installed in my computer so we do it completely different.

Don't sweat it. Just replace the "www" with "dl" in the link by hand and it will work perfectly.

Hi:

I am a Macbook Pro as well. I logged onto my Dropbox account and tried to copy link from there. It has the same like as my PC (without the "dl") and imbeds the image into a dropbox webpage not just the image.

Is there one thing that I might be doing wrong as I am not getting the same like as your sample one in the post.

Thanks.
