Yup, you're good to go
I've read any cyanoacrylate is OK to use

+1. I used this all the time before using coral glue.

Yah they can only glue like 6 or 7 frags properly and cost like $7! That's why I moved to CG.

Thick Gel Super glue at the dollar store. Always works for me.

BRS Super Glue is the exact same stuff but in a large bottle at a fraction of the price :)

the bottle linked in the first thread is the exact same as the ones that loctite brand gel CA glue comes in, and thats what ive used for a while now. works great and no problems, even though im giving the epoxy putty a shot now =)

You squeeze that thing till your blue in the face and can't get any more out then take it apart ant there is still 3/4s of a tube of glue left. They charge so much for the packaging im sure and the first thing i do is pull it all off and trash it. Will never make sense to me?

I picked this stuff up at Dollar Tree down in the states (Bellingham), either package is $1. Bought 5 packs last time I went down...meets my fragging needs perfectly. If it clogs up, no big deal as the are smaller individual tubes.

That's the reason I decided to try the epoxy putty. If I apply the glue in the tank, I only got one use out of a bottle. Super glue doesn't have very good gap filling properties either.

I've used Ecotech Coral glue in-tank, instead of epoxy, and works well
Yup, glueing (sic) under water
Epoxy turns my skimmer and other hardware into a big mess

I think I'm a part owner of that company now that I've bought so much of it. I actually split a case of it with a buddy of mine and may do so again when funds allow. Go with the ultra gel versus the regular gel. Less brittle and can withstand snails, crabs and dumb reefers who aren't paying attention.

Here is another reliable glue (and source to get it regularly):

$10.59 CAD for 2 oz

RC is another one of my hobbies. i had always wondered if thick or maybe foam safe CA would work for frags, but had never given it a try.

I would recommend against foam safe (and probably odorless) for fragging... just as close to pure cyanoacrylate as possible.

and yeah RC another hobby here too (Car racing 19 years, heli & plane are in the mix too :D)
