Bought this clown today... took a nose dive straight into the anemone, this is the first time I have had an anemone and clown together.

Nice tomato. They almost always host in Rose BTA's There is one at the LFS that was returned because it got mean. Apparently when the owner tried to stick his hand in the tank the clown would attack him.

My tomato always attacks me even if I go near my bta, he can be such a bastard because most of the time I'm not even doing anything with the bta!

my clarkii used to bite me all the time untill i started catching her in a net every time i put my hands in the tank. Now she hides behind the rocks untill i'm not looking and then rams me at full speed . I'ts a bit shocking

I didn't chase her around with the net she swam into it. when she no longer went near the net i stoped using it. I didn't take her out of the tank just contained her in a net untill i was finished. It wasn't mean

what is the big deal about clowns attacking your hands guys? I actually like it when my female mostly and my male perc. clowns attacks my hands when I get near their anamone.

It is shocking, but doesn't hurt a single bit... It tells me that I have an active and frisky couple ;)

I would be insane to sell them just for the sole purpose of them being active and defending their home (especially when it is expected of them).

just my 2cents.

My maroon female used to attack me a lot. It was just nerve wrecking mostly. But when I started to make her world better, moved her into the big tank, etc...I can do anything in there, she doesn't bite me anymore...

my clown has drawn blood on my wrist and on the back of my hand. She is not in the least bit intimidated by me or anything else. Having said that i still would never sell her nor do i blame her for defending her home but she doesn't do change very well and every new coral i add she dumps it upside down in the sand. I am done defending myself
