Hi All:

http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-02/rhf/index.php

I have been using this 2 part system with Kent Turbo Calcium. It has worked ok (not sure if it could be better or not). My local store is not stocking Kent Turbo Calcium.

I have now bought SeaChem Advantage Calcium. Does anyone have any ideas how much to add to the RO/DI water. I was adding 2 cups into 1 gallon (US gallon).

I am not sure what the Advantage Calcium product actually is? Anyone know about that??

I was to be able to continue dosing both parts using dosing pumps.

Thanks to all for the help!

I dose the SeaChem Advantage Calcium. Every tank will have different needs depending on your corals, etc. I first dosed it manually for a couple months, adjusting the amount with each test until it stayed steady. Then I mixed it in a 4L jug, which I set to dose over a 1 month period. I currently use 400 ml of the powder mixed in the jug and it takes about one month before I need to refill the jug again. My Ca is pretty rock steady ( near 400 ppm). It varies a little after a water change, but not much. This is for a 100g tank.

The SeaChem site page for that product has very good instructions on how to use it.

Thanks Reef Pilot. the 400mg to 4L is the mix ratio I was looking for. I always used 2 cups of Kent Turbo Calcium. I did not want to try too much of the SeaChem product.

Any other people using different ratios?
