Does anyone do anything to boost the coraline algae in their tanks?

In all reality just keep the big 3 (ca, alk and mag) at appropriate levels and it will grow.

Just watch what you wish for I wanted coraline to grow sooo bad for years but now that my levels are good it grows like crazy and I hate the stuff. It's terrible to clean off the glass and clogs the live rock out.... Now I don't want any to grow

The best product is time. Just wait and it will grow. Then you'll post asking how to get rid of it :) As it grows on the glass, scrape it with the side of your scraper and the "dust" will seed other areas. Spend your money and real supplies like salt and Ca/alk supplements.

A good source of mag is Epsom salts mixed with Absolute Zero Meltdown. If I remember correctly it's 11 parts Ice Melter to 1 part Epsom Salts. Everyone gets scared and stays away as soon as you mention using something you throw on your driveway but trust me it works great as a surce of mag.

Be careful what you wish for... Worst tank maintenance job for me is cleaning coralline algae off the panes in my acrylic tank.

Hmmm, haven't tried that yet. Unfortunately, my wife will just get replacements...

But does remind me of living in Winterpeg for 10 years, and cleaning frost off windshields, and inside too, sometimes...
