Not many of us here in Red Deer so not much for frags. As for equipment what are you looking for? Anything in particular?

Not too sure...I'm coming to pick up another fluval edge (12gallon) and the plan is to start setting up a seahorse tank in the new year ( currently mass researching seahorses and their care)

Yes but not worth going to...steer clear of that one. Too bad you weren't a couple weeks earlier with your post, I had a pile of frags for sale. Currently out of stock.

Actually no there is not a LFS, the one MMAX is referring to have got out of SW and move to unknown location.

I guess that's not a bad thing, is it?

Well if he is smart he will stick to his snakes and lizards. Might have to have another not so friendly visit with him..:twised:

I was thinking of doing something out of my office but got a bunch of negative comments & timing was bad but maybe in the future, who knows.

I wasn't very nice about it simply because dumb people get under my fur.

I've had a few run ins myself with the snake and lizard guy and I'd advise everyone to stay away from him and not believe a thing he tells you! you are better off going to Calgary or Edmonton.

That's too bad. It sounds like one is badly needed in your area.

i honestly thought it was a good idea , personally theres alot of coral business to be had online :) it cost but a fraction of an actual lfs and can be done on your own time , shipping takes some getting use to but you have more freedom as your not setting actual public business hours:)

if anyone could pull it off it would be you buddy

cheers

It is badly needed here even if it's just mostly coral. It's still could be a possibility next year, I do have a couple contacts that might help me out with ordering in livestock............so who knows what 2013 wil bring since there was no colossal global disaster. :twised:

I personally think it is very much needed in Red Deer for more then just fish. We all use salt, buffers, media, etc and i assume everyone, like myself, goes to Calgary or Edmonton. If everyone in the surrounding area took advantage I'm sure we could support a small store.

Well I'm located just east of Blackfalds 10 km, so my question for you would be would the drive out be an issue. I know I can get almost anything a reefer would need through many sources.

It would be a heck of a lot better than going to Edmonton or Calgary for me, would be interesting to see what could be put together.

There is someone already selling corals out of their house in Red Deer, so you will have some competition if you set one up Grizz.
