"...berlin turbo with mag 7

..."

sorry, gotta disagree with that. The box might have said it's good for a 150g, but I think a 75g would be a realistic limit.

agreed

the reason i am looking to change my skimmer is because my berlin turbo broke.... so defintely not getting it again.

Yes, I know. I used to run a berlin skimmer on my 75. There is no way it would have worked on my current 155g. Really.
I think they are great skimmers, just not great enough for a tank that size.

i don't agree
i have a 150gal with this berlin turbo and mag 7 combo without any
problem
if you use the oringinal one, it still good up to 100 to 125gal
except you over load your tank

That's the beauty of this society, you're free to disagree all day long. I have 2 small tangs and 5 chromis, so I think I'm safe saying my tank isn't overloaded. My large Beckett skimmer can pull 2 litres of black gunk in 2 weeks, and I know the berlin can't do that.
But if it works for you, I couldn't be happier. It's good to see someone having success skimming without the need for a large skimmer.
I do need to ask though....if it's good for your tank, why are you selling it? Upgrading?

I'm not aware of a simple objective test of skimmer effectiveness... and while I don't know a lot about skimming, I don't think I would want to overskim a tank. Having said that, both Desmond in Edmonton and I have run Berlin Classics on 150 gal reefs, and while I can't speak for him, I know I would have preferred a larger unit.

I have an Aqua C EV 200 skimmer for sale, it is more than enough for that size tank.
