Has anyone tried cured live rock from http://www.ecoliverock.org/our-products ? If so what was your opinion of it? I see they sell a standard and "premium" cured live rock

Friends of mine just ordered the standard stuff, I was too scared/wimpy to buy it because I thought the price was too good, lol.. However it's pretty nice looking rock.

They are really happy with it.

Here is what theirs looked like.

All of my rocks are from ecolive. The best parts were the free shipping (took a week but the rocks were still live and wet) and no pest. Very porous too.

The guy (Greg I believe) doesn't sell for making profit and hence the unbelievable low price. I don't think he sells premium any more.

It's only $80ish dollars to get the minimum(20lbs I think), so I figured why not. The premium wasn't available, so I went with the standard. It took about a week to arrive and was still wet with no bad odors. I put it in a bin with water, a heater and a circulation pump for a week with all tests coming back zero for nitrate, nitrite and ammonia. I added it to my tank as base rock and covered it with my existing live rock. It does look a little different, but blends in nice and adds a nice look. The guy was late shipping it by 1 day, but let me know right away and even added an extra 20% rock for the hassle.
Personally I have been happy with it and like knowing its not helping to destroy something that we all love. They even donate all there profits into reef conservation.

Thanks for the feedback! With that price I think I will give it a try for at least some of the rock I need! With a new 180 gallon I need a LOT! :)

Although I am new to this hobby but still a personal suggestion: Get the tank filled with ecolive rock and you will have better place to allocate your patience, for example, QTing the fishes and not just in the "wait" for the dry rocks to fully cure and cycle the tank.
