Ran out of salt, and can't seem to find any reefers best.
Was thinking about trying that fluval stuff, but want to at least do a couple half reefers best and half fluval water changes so I don't change any parameters too quick.
Just a single box would be good, although two would be good too.
Thanks.

Jeff I switched from Red Sea to fluval and though I was sceptical it's great salt. I never blended just jump in mixes clean fast. Did not loose polyp extension no residue in mix pail. Though I like RB. it just not around enough

Hmm, that's great to know.

Normally I have a couple extra boxes, but forgot to grab a couple more the last time it was in the city.
You think the fluval is better than RB?

I looked at the fluval salt this week and was put off a bit by such high Ca. Close to 520ppm @ 1.026. A bit much IMO. The price is pretty close to RB, so I'll stick with that.

That's what I am worried about. I've ran reefers best for 2 years, and love it. It mixes without residue and quickly.

I'm not sure it would be an issue in a SPS tank.
It's more expensive than RB.

.

I would be concerned with precipitation on pumps, etc. No need to have Ca that high in SPS tanks. Really, anything over 400 is perfect without going too high.

Anyone interested in buying a pallet of Reefers Best with me?
50 boxes a pallet. I can cover about 20 boxes. Big savings.

With the 180 it was around 8 so I figure new tank volume is over 550 gallons so I'll guess 20 lol never hurts to have a bunch it doesn't expire.
