Help me win a new desk for work! PLEASE

So, it turns out I have the crappiest desk in the company... also a dumping area for everyone that passes through! I am hoping you guys will help vote for me to get a desk and cabinet set-up with drawers that lock. Last month someone stole my ipod out of my desk drawer, and a $80 pelican flashlight. I also have a problem with Mice getting into my drawers... no food is kept in there, but i have to have traps set up at all times, as the underneath and back are wide open to the critters. The picture on there is the clean version of my desk on a Wednesday morning. On a Monday morning you can't see any of the desk, posted notes are everywhere including the middle of my computer screen (guess i should have taken a picture on a monday)... a general dumping ground that I have to clean up everyday and wash down.
If I do get the new desk, I will be allowed to re-setup a small saltwater tank and I want that SO badly. I miss having my fish at work!!

I know some other entries are worse them mine, but my limited friend base here is hurting my chances.. so I ask you all, as my online friends to give me a hand and vote for me every chance you get! Heck even if 10 of you vote daily... it's a huge step forward, as the company can't afford a new desk at this time.

ya I was ****ED.... for the most part my techs just steal consumables from the toolcrib... but going into my personal desk and going through it (cuz it was hidden) was the last straw.. I lost my crap on the guys that day and of course no one will fess up to it.

And yes, every day I have to lysol my drawers and keyboard and re-set traps in my drawers.... they won't bring in a exterminator as we have gabs under the doors.. and they won't fix it, cuz in the summer it swells and the doors won't open, so it's a safety issue... so I have to deal with Mice and theives until I can get a new desk that seal and locks!

I'd be chatting with the Landlord about the mice, that's gross. They may say you are responsible within the premises but if the business owner isn't willing to bring in pest control, the Landlord will at the owners expense. Maybe some incentive - talk to your neighboring tenants as well and let them know. There's no way any one should work in that environment, its a health issue!!

wouldn't surprise me! one of my co-worker did that yesterday just be be a jerk and it put that other guy in front of me!

And my landlord is the business owner.... my mice/theft issues are very small on their priority list, which is why i am trying to win a new desk to improve my work environment!

Hmmm, I wonder if I submitted a picture of the work benches in our machine shop piled up with parts I could just win $7500 worth of electronics instead. I don't think a Staples desk would survive very long with what I do for a living.

Back in the 80s my friend had a problem with thieves constantly breaking into his car to steal his stereo so before he installed another stereo he sprayed adhesive inside the opening and covered it with glass shards. A few days later found his stereo missing, lots of blood, and his upholstery slashed up. The cut-up thief got mad I guess. Never lost another stereo but he moved soon after to get away from the whole stressful situation.

If I were you, I would hide a mini camera somewhere to catch the thief and get him/her fired.
