I've got some leftover LEDs from a fixture I'm building and I was just wondering if 6 3w LEDs would be sufficient to light a 29g biocube
I plan on keeping softies and some lps
If not would 6 3w and 6 1w LEDs be sufficient
Going with 50/50 blue and 10000k

I would say that for softies and easy LPS you would probably be okay with both sets of LED's. Might have some disco though.

Easy lps is boring.... Ill just buy another 20 bulbs haha
What would be the ideal amount of 3w LEDs and ratio?
ATM I'm running a 144w fixture on the tank and IMO its overkill for what I'm keeping
The plan is to retrofit the canopy with LEDs because I don't like the open top

I'm running 24x 3w over my bc14...supports lps and sps.

26 leds
4 cool white
4 neitral white
16 royal blue
2 blue
all crees
running them on a 28 nanocube at about 60% still bleaching sps a bit.

I'm running 24 on mine.
6 wouldn't cut it for sufficient lighting.
