ive always wanted one so i decided to make my first one a cheapy.I got one of these ten dollar reef anenomes.Any info would be great.I eventually want to get one that will host a couple of perculas and i am wondering what would be the best one for a beginner? :smile:

Ten dollar reef anemones are likely condylactis and they are not hosting anemones. More likely they will eat your fish.

Before attempting to keep an anemone, be sure you have the right conditions for it. And possibly go for a clone from a captive anemone.

An invaluable book is "Clownfishes" by Joyce Wilkerson, which provides information on both clownfishes and their host anemones. :biggrin:

Cony anemones will host percual clowns. There is one at a fellow reefers house that hosted a percula until he added a sebea anenome then the clown switched.
