I'm curious about these.... are they beneficial or not?

Whats your thoughts?

Good investment or bad....

Any recommendations?

Yes, I think it’s a great investment. I have a turbo twist 9w for my 90 gallon and it’s been great for 10 months. It reduces algae greatly but doesn't eliminate them. You'll still need to scrape the glass weekly but very minimal. Water is much clearer and reduces ich break out. Knock on wood; my livestock haven't had it yet. I paid $180 plus you'll need a pump as well. If you can buy a used one with a newer bulb than your getting a deal!

what flow are you using on the Turbo twist 9w?

My turbo twist is set up inside my sump, I use a Marineland maxi jet pump 400. Something with a slow flow rate.

ozone is great too however draw back with Ozone is it converts the Ammonia to Nitrites fast and if you dont have a realiable Nitrates reducer it can build up fast.....
