So my dog wakes me up this morning at 4:45, just in time to catch the first drip over flowing from my 50g RO barrel. Whew. If I'd slept till 7, I would have been swimming in the kitchen.
(OK, he probably just got bored and jumped on my head, but he got a cookie anyway)

Happy water change day!!
Rebuilding the frag tank, so 50g from DT goes downstairs to 50g. 50g water transfers to rock holding tank (need any rock???) then new water goes into DT. Big water change day :)
Too bad I can't teach the dog to do that for me...

Send your pup over here, I flooded my basement this morning.....our dog slept right through it.

The dog spends it entire life being hopelessly devoted and loyal. Now you want it to do water changes too!
Come on Brad, give the poor collie a break.
The dog did stop a flood after all.

Is that what we call eating a loaf of banana bread off the counter? Funny, I had a different description!

Who left the water running and went to bed? Most likely the same person who left the treats on the counter.
Now your just being petty (no pun intended)

Nope, black lab/rottie. And mine steals stuff off the counter as well and gets jealous anytime I work on the tanks, so I'm sure he'd be happy to see them fail.

Shall we call you Canreef's dog whisperer now? Will you be taking on contracts to train other reefers' dogs in leak detection?

My huskey would probably think the water was great and would play in it.
I've overflowed my RO barrel a couple times so I put a bulkhead at the top of the barrel with a hose going to a floor drain. I still ahven't learned my lesson as I have sent a few gallons of RO water down the drain but at least not all over the floor.

We don't have a dog, so I use an adjustable float valve and a pressure shut-off valve

Ya I know
It'd be so much more efficient to wake up to a dog jumping around in a big puddle
Just add a squirt of shampoo and bob's your uncle
I'm even older school,.. I turn mine off before I go to bed:razz:
Well that's no fun

Well I don't have a dog... So I have to wake up to my Boo screaming with wet socks.. Which isn't quite the same as being nuzzled by a border collie.
Boring is good sometimes!

Wish my Australian shepherd was that smart, mine just wants to jump around and play. He's only a yr old now so hopefully he looses the 'ADD' lol

I have some really bad news for you :) They keep thinking they're bunny rabbits well into the years. Ours is 5 and still bounces like she did at 1. Smart like a bunny rabbit too
