Can a tang get hlle in two days? From bullying maybe or lose of her best friend?
The last two days have been rough on her.
I haven't had a problem with her since I got her over 6 monthes ago.
Last two days she well eat but very little does like swimming around any more and she looks so bad.
I'll get a picture up here in a second.
Meanwhile I'm put her into my 90 gallon.
What has no tangs.
Small fox face
Wrasse
4 chomis

I'll try a new home to see if it helps.

Yes I check all my fish twice a day.
Both my peppermint shrimps molted.
This hobby can be stressful sometimes.
And it always comes in huge waves!

I feel so bad for her.
I don't want to stick her in qt. as that we'll prolly stress her out.
She is the smallest of my tangs.

I thought HLLE only affects there top & bottom fins.

I don't think it's HLLE. Other than the red nose, I also see some abnormal color patches throughout its body and tail. Can't tell very well from the picture, but are those patches red-ish? If yes, it may be bacterial infections. If it was me, I would scoop it up and treat it in a QT/HT with antibacterial. If you don't have a dedicated QT/HT, a 5 G salt bucket will work with treating of NH4 regularly.
