I like having the back glass of my tanks clean and I was looking to buy a long handled cleaner. The ones that I looked at were priced at between $25 and $40. That seemed a bit much, so I built my own using 1/2" pvc for the handle and a 3/4x3/4x1/2 tee. For the scraper, I cut a slot in the tee at about 45 degrees to the tee, and inserted an acrylic blade into it. the blade is 1/8" acrylic sanded to a 45 bevel and rounded on the corners. The scrubber just has self stick velcro wrapped around it to serve as a scrubber. I used a piece of the loop side as the scrubber, then added a piece of the hook side to hold an optional scrubber pad too. I made the hanles 30" long, but they could be made longer or shorter as desired. I made each one seperate, but they could also be put onto either end of the same handle. Total cost was $6, and they work great.
