This was my sun coral RIP. Target fed daily. I'm pretty sure it met its demise from the clown fish hosting it.

I've just been feeding a mix of blood worms, mysis and brine shrimp. Usually I soak the food in either garlic or selcon. Some of the frozen cubes I use has spirulina mixed in with it.
And I just use the same turkey baster I feed the fish with.
2x a week I also throw into the thawing dish a cap full of zoo plankton and a cap full of phyto. Not sure if that has any effect on these guys or not, but they sure have been healthy and happy :D

oh, and 10 minutes or so before I feed I've tried putting a few drops of Brightwell Aquatics Coral Ammino and it seems to get them feed better.

My contribution for today: a pair of Rhizotrochus typus. Before the (inevitable) controversy starts - these were "surprise" hitch hikers embedded on a huge piece of liverock. Hopefully that will answer how these ended up in my display. Cheers.

They are VERY easy to take care of. They appear to eat ANYTHING I feed them. Whether it be cyclopeeze, mysis, diced shrimp/mussels, even pellets and flakes....their appetite is voracious. I have fed them as often as once a day to approx. once every 10 days. I have experimented with prolonged periods without direct feeding and the corals seem just as robust with minimal 'wilting' at the once a week mark. I broadcast feed my fish and any small particles that fall into their tentacles seem to be enough to sustain them without direct feeding (mind you; I do feed my fish 2x a day).

The tentacles are quite sticky and have a surprisingly strong sting (think strong BTA sting or light carpet anemone sting).
