I'm going to be running 3 250W Geismann Double Ended bulbs on my setup and I was told that I would need a UV Shield. Does anyone know where I can find a UV shield or somewhere I can go whether it be a website or a store to learn more about this sort of thing?

are they in an enclosure? if so the glass on the bottom (between the bulb and the water) is the UV shield.

It turns out it's the enclosure with the glass shield that i'm looking for after all. Where's the best place to get one of those at a good price?

If you only want the glass, I figure 3/16" tempered Low-E glass will work. Maybe someone else can verify that. If your looking for the fixture, look more at the reflector quality and shape to suit your needs.

If all you have is the bulbs/ballasts, you may want to consider the PFO mini pendants. You could mount these inside the canopy.

Do you know where to get those pendants and approx. how much they are?
