My Rock Flower Anemones have been spawning on a regular basis, and I thought I would share some pics of some of the new born RFAs. These are super tiny and dont have color yet. I find that it takes a bit longer to find out what color they are going to turn out. Anyway, here are the pics :smile::smile:

Amazing job as always Daniel. You really have mastered the KISS method for reefing and your corals/anemones show it.

Sweet! Please take some pics as they grow.. I'm really curious how long it takes before they color up

I'll try to update this thread as the anemones get bigger. It takes about 4 to 5 weeks for the offsprings to color up. I noticed that they grow a lot faster if I spot feed them. This afternoon I noticed that one of the anemones was spawning while I was doing a water change. I made sure to put all the offsprings in a tray and track their progress. The only problem is that the timing is not great. Am about to board an airplane for New York and I don't return until the following Friday. I hope they survive and thrive on their own until I return.

Oh, I have a couple of short videos of the RFA spawning. I'll try to upload it when I get a chance.

I guess I should update this thread. Those anemones are a lot bigger now and there are some interesting morphs for sure. The is one in particular that I really like. It's bright neon green center with bright blood red tentacles. I don't have anything like this in my tank but I suppose that it came out with these colors because the mom was neon green and father totally red. I'll post pics when I get a chance.

I really love your whole tank Sir. Are you planning on selling any of your RFAs anytime soon ? BTW, what salt are you using ?

Hi there,

Thanks a lot for stopping by to check out my thread and for your feedback. I'll be selling some RFA's but not until they must get a bit bigger before I let them go. The salt brand that I use is IO.

Cool more :photo: please

I promise I'll do my best to take some new pics of all my RFA's and their offspring. There is one offspring that's simply awesome! It's center is bright Neon/Yellow and the tentacles are super red. I don't think I have seen anything like it before and I have been collecting RFA's for years.

This is my first post on this site. I was doing some research on rock nems, cause I have fallen in love with em and have started my own collection, when I ran across this thread. I would love to see some pics of your babies, sounds like you have some awesome color combos.

Cant wait for the 5 I have to start having babies

Daniel, great stuff on the RFA  I bought one just this last weekend on an impulse buy at the Toronto Frags show and would be interested in hearing more about the care of these animals as well as your experience with breeding them if that is the right term. I was told if I fed them frequently that that would cause them to start to have babies..

This is a quick picture I took of the one I purchased and sounds like the last one you describe...

I WANT THIS ONE!!!!!!!!

First of all, it's not for sale, and even if it was for sale you would have to wrestle the other 20 reefers that also want it badly. Oh, and this is the most expensive one!

Daniel! You don't update very often but when you do you go all out eh?? I'd lost interest in RFA but you one post changes all that. I need to swing by and see these in person if you don't mind? Just jaw dropping awesomeness!

wow Danie...are those your baby morphs or did you buy a bunch more ( if so, from where?) as shown in the styro container w/ them cups full of them nems? Are you still in the hobby as I saw your ad selling off your nano 50 gallon setup recently on another forum.

You may be able to stop by to check them out in person but that will have to happen when I return from holidays. I am going to Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand for over a month leaving this Tuesday .

I bought 28 last week and received them on Wednesday. There are also tons of offsprings from the ones that have been in my tank for a while. I am still in the hobby but am now mainly interested in RFAs.

I bought 28 and I don't think I'll be able to put them all on my tank. Feel free to send me a PM if you want one or a few and I'll let you know what's available.

Thanks and I'll do my best to get some pics. I don't own an underwater camera so taking pics of the reefs may not be possible.
